Main highway of southern Alberta has been shut down by the RCMP while they investigate the area after multiple suspicious murders.
According to RCMP spokesperson, Sgt. Patrick Webb, Highway 2 near Claresholm has been closed in both directions as their crimes unit carries out the investigation.
Webb says alternative routes are in place as Highway 2 will be closed for several hours.
He further said that an incident took place at Claresholm in the morning, which involves more than two victims.
Until now, the details of multiple victims are unknown and untold. However, the entire area is being treated as a murder scene.
