Calgary police arrested suspect Lloyd Douglas Bramley in a murder investigation

On Sunday, 2011 December 18, the Calgary Police Service responded to a Check on the Welfare call at an apartment in the 300 block of 57 Avenue SW, and discovered the body of 38 year old, Genaro Ccopa-Huaman.  Soon after, Homicide Investigators issued a Canada-wide Second Degree Murder warrant for Lloyd Douglas Bramley.
 
On Friday, 2011 December 23, at approximately 9:00am, Mr. Bramley contacted Calgary Police from the Chinook Mall Shopping Centre indicating he wished to turn himself in.  Officers promptly attended the Mall, located Mr. Bramley, and took him into custody.
 
Mr. Bramley will be interviewed by Homicide Detectives, and subsequently processed on the outstanding murder warrant.
 
As the matter is now before the Court, no further information will be released.
