On Saturday, December 24, 2011, at 2:20 a.m., police responded to a call for unknown trouble in the Spadina Avenue/Cecil Street area.
It is alleged that:
– the accused stabbed a woman in an apartment
– the woman jumped out the apartment window to escape her attacker
The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Saturday, December 24, 2011, Kevin George Payne, 38, of Toronto, was charged with:
1) Attempted Murder
2) Aggravated Assault
3) Assault with a Weapon
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Sunday, December 25, 2011, room 101, at 10 a.m.
