Mississauga teen Elon Washington Brooks wanted in regards to a murder investigation

Homicide investigators have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing, which left a Mississauga resident dead.

On Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers responded to 2233 Hurontario Street, for a report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a 19 year-old male suffering from stab wounds.  He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has since been identified as Kevin Pham. 

On Sunday January 1, 2012, a 17 year-old young offender was arrested and charged in relation to this incident. The youth faces a charge of Second Degree Murder.

Due to the age of the youth, the name cannot be released, as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. 

Homicide officers have also issued a Canada Wide Warrant for Elon Washington Brooks, a 19 year-old Mississauga resident. Brooks is wanted in connection to this homicide investigation.

Update: On the evening of Sunday, January 1, 2012, Elon Washington Brooks, turned himself in to investigators. He faces charges of Second Degree Murder and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Monday, January 02, 2012.
