A collision at the Chenaux Bridge crossing from Ontario to Quebec killed two women
According to Quebec provincial police, the tragic incident took place at about 4:30 pm New Year’s Day.
The car of deceased women collided with another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
One of the dead was a 48-year-old woman from Litchfield, Que., and another, 19-year-old girl.
Three people travelling in the other vehicle were rushed to nearby hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
The bridge was closed to traffic all night.
Quebec provincial police is still investigating the incident.
