Peel Regional Police have arrested two men in the stabbing death of a 19-year-old father at a Mississauga apartment building. Pham had a 3-year-old daughter.

According to the police, Mississauga resident Elon Washington Brooks turned himself in Sunday night.

Washington and a 17-year-old male are charged with second-degree murder in the death of Kevin Pham, who was fatally stabbed at a home on Hurontario Street in Mississauga last Wednesday.

Reportedly, a resident of the apartment building called emergency when Pham appeared at her ground-floor balcony at the back of the building and asked for help.

Pham reportedly suffered a penetrating chest wound and died in hospital. He was a devoted father and the “most loyal of friends,” said a close friend, Beta Mulahalilovic.

Mulahalilovic said: “(He) loved his city, his daughter, his daughter’s mother and his tight group of friends and his family more than anything. He took care of all the people he cared for in his life without hesitation.”

Pham’s childhood friend Mike Dinh said he was into sports and loved playing football. Dinh along with a few other friends said Pham might have been hanging out with the ‘wrong crowd.’

Dinh said: “I think growing up, everyone makes mistakes. Some of the decisions he made just got him into a bad situation.”
