Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 3200 block of 23rd Street, Southeast.
On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at approximately 6:45 pm units from the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting in the 3200 block of 23rd Street, Southeast. Upon arrival, they located the victim, an adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to local area hospital. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent is identified as 18-year-old Navarro Anthony Brown of Southeast, Washington DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
