Calgary man Drew Robert Legary charged with two counts of sexual assault

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man with two counts of sexual assault.
 
On Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, the Calgary Police Service responded to the Alberta Children’s Hospital for a complaint of a sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy. The Child Abuse Unit was contacted and launched an investigation.
 
During their investigation, police learned of a second victim, who was allegedly sexually assaulted during his stay at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in August 2010. This victim was 11 years old at the time of the alleged offence.
 
On Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, Child Abuse investigators arrested a man at a home in northwest Calgary. He was charged and released.
 
The accused is a nurse and the two victims were patients assigned to him during their stays in hospital.
 
Drew Robert Legary, 42, of Calgary has been charged with two counts each of sexual interference with a child under 16 years and sexual assault.
