Man and woman facing six counts related to home invasion

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of charges in a home invasion investigation.

It is alleged that:

– on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 3:30 p.m., a man and woman walked into an apartment in the King Street/Dufferin Street area

– the woman armed herself with a 12″ butcher knife from the kitchen

– the man and woman demanded the homeowner, a 77-year-old man, pay them $5,000

– the man and woman forced the victim to provide them with his bank card and PIN

– the victim was tied with duct tape to a chair

– both suspects fled the scene after stealing a watch from the victim

– the victim managed to free himself and flee the scene

On Tuesday, January 31, 2012, police arrested Shawn Pugliese, 50, of no fixed address, who has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Weapons Dangerous
3) Forcible Confinement

On October 8, 2012, police arrested Nicole Clement, 37, of Toronto, who has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Weapons Dangerous
3) Forcible Confinement
