The District 9 RCMP is continuing to investigate the suspicious death of a woman in Clifton and a possible link between her death and the death of a Bathurst man.

Police discovered the body of 38-year-old Tanya Couture in her home on February 6, 2012 at around 11:00 a.m.  Earlier that same day, Bathurst Police discovered the body of 27-year-old Jason Scott in an apartment in Bathurst, N.B. The two were known to one another. Autopsies will be performed to confirm the cause of death of both people.

At this time RCMP investigators do not believe anyone else was involved in their deaths.

The investigation is continuing.
