The Chilliwack RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 40 year old Douglas Sawatzky of Chilliwack. Douglas was last seen leaving his home in Chilliwack on Sunday February 5, 2012, at about 9:00 AM. He was driving a black 1994 Jeep Cherokee (picture attached) British Columbia licence plate 995 NTD. Douglas told his family he was going camping in the Chilliwack area but has not returned home. His family is concerned for his safety.
Douglas is known to camp along Forest Service Roads in the Chilliwack area.
Douglas Sawatzky is described as 5 foot, 11 inches, 150 pounds, slender/thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. He has a full beard, short brown hair (photo attached). He was last seen wearing a red parka with black sleeves and black pants.
