Two Amherst residents charged in separate child pornography investigations

Police have charged two men with Child Pornography offences.

As a result of ongoing investigations, the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, with assistance from Amherst Police Department, Cumberland County Street Crime Enforcement Unit, and RCMP Technological Crime Unit, executed two search warrants in the Amherst area.

On February 16th, 2012, police searched two residences in the town of Amherst as part of two separate police investigations.

Fifty-six-year-old Joseph Holland from Amherst is charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography.

Twenty-year-old Christopher Hache of Amherst is charged with Possession of Child Pornography.

Both men were released on conditions to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on May 14th, 2012.
