On Sunday, February 19, 2012, at 8 p.m., police responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Broadview Avenue/Cosburn Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
– a man met a woman in the downtown area and enticed her back to his apartment with promises of a modeling job
– once in the apartment, the man prevented the woman from leaving and sexually assaulted her
Monday, February 20, 2012, at 2:50 p.m., Errol Spooner, 33, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Aggravated Sexual Assault,
2) Forcible Confinement,
3) Carry Concealed Weapon.
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 10 a.m., room 507.
Police believe there may be more victims.
