The cell phone of 15-year-old Sierra Lamar, the missing Californian, was discovered on Sunday. Police says it was in a field near her home in Morgan Hill, Calif. The teenager disappeared while she was on her way to school on Friday.

Normally, the girl would take a bus but a bus driver allegedly said he did not see Lamar anywhere near. Her family is gravely concerned about her life.

“We’re hoping she’s alive and that’s the most important thing right now,” says the girl’s mother, Marlene Lamar.

According to the missing teen’s sister, Danielle Lamar, her sister could not have run away with anyone.

“She’s always in contact with family and friends. She wouldn’t leave everyone out of the loop,” Danielle Lamar said.

In addition, investigators have not been able to establish that the girl had any conflicts at home which might have forced her to run away.

Lamar is described as 5-foot-2, slim, olive complexion and long dark hair.
