Investigators with the York Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit have charged a 64-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault in the Town of Georgina.

On Saturday, February 25, 2012, police launched an investigation after receiving information that a suspect had allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old man in the parking lot of a commercial plaza located at 24266 Woodbine Avenue, near Morton Avenue.

On Thursday, March 22, 2012, investigators attended a residence on Dalton Road. The suspect was located inside and arrested without incident.

– Malcolm Rice, 64, Town of Georgina

CHARGES:
– Sexual Assault
– Sexual Exploitation of a Person with a Disability

Mr. Rice has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket sometime today.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward
