Mounties successfully locate a woman lost in woods

RCMP and Ground Search and Rescue have located a woman that was lost in the woods off Old Enfield Road.
 
On the evening of April 17th at approximately 7:12 p.m. a 22-year-old woman called 911 on a cell phone advising that she had become lost while walking on a trail off of the Old Enfield Road in Nine Mile River. The woman was with her dog when she became lost.
 
The woman had walked for approximately two hours before calling for assistance. When the 911 call was received, an immediate search was organized by Enfield Detachment. Assisting in the search were 35 Ground Search and Rescue members from East Hants and Colchester as well as Emergency Health Services. Also assisting was RCMP Police Dog Services, Cpl. Mosher and his police dog “Stinger”.
 
At approximately 1:20 a.m. the woman was located wet and cold but otherwise unharmed. RCMP thank the many volunteers with Ground Search and Rescue, EHS and officers that assisted in the search
