On Monday, April 16, 2012, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the High Park Avenue/Bloor Street West area.
It is alleged that:
– a man advised police that he had just assaulted his parents
The man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for evaluation.
The parents were also taken to hospital and treated for their injuries.
On Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at approximately 10 a.m., Ivan Sego, 79, succumbed to his injuries.
Zlatko Sego, 39, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Second Degree murder
2) Assault causing bodily harm
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
