An Ottawa Police investigation of a suspicious incident in Stittsville last Wednesday is now considered a murder-suicide.  This is the fourth homicide in Ottawa in 2012.

The investigation was turned over to the Major Crime Section today, after the victim, 46-year-old Theresa Moreau Lefebvre, died in hospital this morning.

Police received a 911 call from a distraught man at about 9:30 a.m. on April 11, 2012, in the 0-100 block of Hartsmere Drive.  A woman was found in the home with life threatening injuries.  A man was found deceased at about 1 p.m. in a wooded area about 3 km from the home.  He has been identified as Peter Lefebvre, age 43.

Ottawa Police previously attended the same residence in March 2012, which was the first and only prior call from this home.

Ms. Theresa Moreau Lefebvre’s family has donated her organs to help save the lives of others.
