On Saturday, May 12, 2012, the 11th annual Meagan's Walk charity event will take place from Ontario Place.
Approximately 4,000 participants will start the walk at 10 a.m., and proceed along the route via sidewalks only.
There will be a full road closure in effect on Elizabeth Street, between Gerrard Street West and Elm Street, and on Elm Street, between Elizabeth St and the entrance to the hospital parking garage, just west of the intersection, in conjunction with this event.
Walkathon Route:
Formation Area Ontario Place – East Parking Lot starting at 8:30 a.m.,
Eastbound Lakeshore Blvd – south sidewalk
North/Eastbound Fort York Blvd– west and north sidewalk only
Northbound Bathurst St – west sidewalk only
East bound King St – north sidewalk only
Northbound University Ave – east sidewalk only
Eastbound Elm St., south sidewalk only
Arrive Hospital for Sick Children
TTC vehicles will be permitted through gaps in the event, when safe to do so.
This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
