Toronto man Cheng Ping Liu faces 13 counts on Human Trafficking/Underage Prostitution investigation

On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 3:50 p.m., police received a call for a sexual assault in the Broadview Avenue/Danforth Road area.

It is alleged that:

– a 15-year-old girl was introduced to a woman and taken to an apartment

– over a period of more than a week, the girl was recruited and procured into prostitution while at the apartment

On Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 7:25 p.m., Cheng Ping Liu, 39, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Procuring a Person to Become a Prostitute
2. Procuring Illicit Sex
3. Exercise Control
4. Living on the Avails of Prostitution
5. Assault
6. Threatening Bodily Harm
7. Sexual Assault
8. Sexual Interference
9. Forcible Confinement
10. two counts Trafficking in Persons
11. two counts Receive Benefit from Trafficking in Person

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 10 a.m., room 501.
