Mentor Gerald Levine charged for sexually molesting young boys

On Friday, February 24, 2012, the Toronto Police Service began an investigation into sexually based offences which occurred between 1980 to 1983.

It is alleged that:

– A man was an active volunteer in children’s organizations as a mentor

– Sometime between the time of 1980 to 1983 the man committed the offences of gross indecency and indecent assault on a 12-year-old boy to whom he was a mentor

– During the investigation, the same man was found to have committed the offences of sexual interference and sexual exploitation on a second victim, a 14-year-old boy, sometime between 1997 to 1999

On Tuesday, June 19, 2012, Gerald Levine, 61, of Richmond Hill was arrested and charged with:

1) Gross Indecency
2) Indecent Assault on male
3) Sexual Interference
4) Sexual Exploitation

The accused appeared in court at Old City Hall on June 19th, 2012 at 10 a.m. in courtroom 101.

Police believe there may be more victims.
