Investigators working out of the York Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit have charged a 65-yearold man in connection with sexual assaults against two female youths in the Town of Georgina.
In early June 2012, police launched an investigation after receiving information regarding sexual assaults dating back to 1999, against two female youths who were both under the age of 16 at the time of the offences. The suspect was arrested on Sunday, June 3, 2012, without incident.

– John Rowe, 65, Town of Georgina
CHARGES:
– Sexual Assault x 2
– Invitation to Sexual Touching x 2
– Sexual Interference x 2
Mr. Rowe has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
Investigators are looking into allegations of sexual misconduct that date back as far as the early 1990s and believe Mr. Rowe may have had affiliations coaching Trampoline and hockey.
