On Tuesday, June 19, 2012, the Toronto Police Service issued a news release regarding a man arrested in a sexual exploitation investigation.

It is alleged that:

– the man was an active volunteer with the Jewish Child and Family Service as a big brother mentor

– some time between 1980 and 1983, the accused committed the offences of gross indecency and indecent assault on a 12-year-old boy to whom he was a mentor

– during the investigation, the same man was found to have committed the offences of sexual interference and sexual exploitation on a second victim, a 14-year-old boy, some time between 1997 and 1999

On Tuesday, June 19, 2012, Gerald Levine, 61, of Richmond Hill, was arrested and charged with:

1) Gross Indecency
2) Indecent Assault on Male
3) Sexual Interference
4) Sexual Exploitation

The accused was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. room 101.

Police believe there may be more victims.
