Members working out of the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 41-year-old Vaughan man in connection with an indecent act that occurred in July 2012.
On July 8, 2012, police launched an immediate investigation after receiving a complaint from a 19-year-old female that her driving instructor had committed an indecent act during one of her driving lessons.
The investigation revealed the suspect has been employed by two separate driving schools within the Greater Toronto Area.
Investigators believe there may be more victims who have received driving instruction from the suspect that have not come forward and are urging anyone with information to call police.
On Monday, July 9, 2012, the suspect was arrested at his residence without incident.

– Shafique MALIK, 41, of Vaughan
CHARGES:
– Mischief Under $5,000
– Indecent Act
Mr. Malik has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
