The District 2 RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 in Coal Creek, near Chipman, N.B., that left one woman dead.
The crash occurred on August 19, 2012, at about 5:30 p.m. The investigation thus far suggests the victim’s vehicle crossed the center line of the two lane roadway and was struck by an oncoming transport truck.
The victim, a 41-year-old woman from Chipman, died at the scene as a result of her injuries. Her name is not being released at this time, pending proper notification of her family. The driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
