Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are continuing their investigation into the discovery of human remains, located near Hewick Meadows Park, in Mississauga.

On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at approximately 11:30 a.m. police responded to a call made by hikers, and located human remains. The discovery of human remains in Toronto on Saturday, August 18 has been positively linked to the remains found in Mississauga.

The victim has now been identified as Hua Guang LIU of Scarborough.  She is a 41 year-old single mother of three.

Ms. LIU was last seen Friday, August 10, 2012 and was reported missing to Toronto Police Service the following day by friends.
