Stoney Creek elderly cyclist’s death considered a result of misadventure

The death of a cyclist in rural Hamilton is deemed a death by misadventure.

On Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 at approximately 1:11 p.m., a 62 yr. old Stoney Creek man was riding his bicycle east bound on Chippewa Rd. approaching Trinity Church Rd. in Glanbrook. The cyclist lost control of his bicycle on the roadway and was ejected. The man was transported to Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The identity of the cyclist is not being released at this time on the request of family.

The Collision Reconstruction Team is continuing the investigation.
