Calgary man Spencer Lee Jordan and woman Marie Eve Magoon charged with second degree murder

A man and woman have been charged with second degree murder, in relation to the death of a young girl last November. 

On Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Calgary police were called to the 6700 block of Temple Drive N.E. for reports of a six-year-old girl with undetermined injuries sustained in her home.

The victim, Meika Dawn Jordan, died in hospital on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, and an autopsy was completed on Wednesday, Nov.16, 2011.

The autopsy concluded that she died as a result of multiple blunt force trauma and the death was declared a homicide.

On Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, police arrested a man and woman in Calgary, without incident. 

Spencer Lee Jordan, 26, of Calgary and Marie Eve Magoon, 22, of Calgary have been charged with one count each of second degree murder. 

Jordan and Magoon remain in custody, and will appear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.
