Hamilton man Roger Millar charged with internet luring

The Hamilton Police Service (HPS) has arrested and charged a Hamilton man alleged to be involved in luring and sending explicit images to a child.

On October 25th, 2012 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the HPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit along with members of  the Vice and Drug, Technological Crime Units and East End Patrol officers executed  a search warrant at a residence at 68 Norway Ave. after investigating and arresting an individual that had been looking  online for a sexual encounter.

The accused had arranged to meet with a 14 yr. old male and was subsequently arrested when arriving for his rendezvous.

Charges:    Luring 
                     Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child

Hamilton Police are continuing their investigation with a detailed forensic examination of the computers and devices seized from the residence.

Bail Hearing is scheduled for today.
