The Hamilton Police Service (HPS) has arrested and charged a Hamilton man alleged to be involved in luring a child.
On November 5th, 2012 at approximately 12:00 P.M., members of the HPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, assisted by members of the Technological Crime Unit and Central Patrol, executed a search warrant at residence located at 825 King St. E., after investigating and arresting an individual that had been looking online for a sexual encounter. The accused had arranged to meet with a 14-year old male and was subsequently arrested when waiting for the 14-year old to arrive for his rendezvous.
Charged: Gordon Grimwood 48 yrs. of Hamilton
Charges: Luring a Child Under 16 years
Hamilton Police are continuing their investigation with a detailed forensic examination of the computers and devices seized from the residence.
Bail Hearing is scheduled for November 6th.
