The Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, who is quite famous of his love for football, stumbled and fell to the ground during a press event held on Tuesday. The video has inevitably gone completely viral on websites all over the internet.

Ford was making a football presentation in front of the cameras for promoting the Sunday’s game of Grey Cup, when the hometown Argos are scheduled to compete with the Calgary Stampeders. While all the news cameras were rolling around him, Ford took a few snaps and attempted to toss the ball around at an artificial surface set up in front of city hall. While taking a snap, Ford lost his foot control and gently tumbled to the turf after a failed attempt to pivot into the throwing position.

Ford’s unintentional blunder caught eyes of all the cameras, media personalities and forced laughs from the entire crowd. Ford was totally out of breath, though he also laughed it off while getting back on his feet completely unhurt. Later when asked from the reporters, the jolly mayor joked about his fall by saying that “I’ve got a lot of padding.”

The video coverage of the notorious event of Ford’s fall quickly made it to the majority of news and sports websites, including DeadSpin. This is not exactly the first time that Ford lost control of his foot at a media event. Previously he has once stumbled off a scale at a weigh-in held earlier this year when Ford was staging a public campaign to lose weight.
