District 7 RCMP are investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision that occurred on the Route 102 near Nackawic, N.B at approximately 12:45 am on June 2, 2010. It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the road and overturned.
The driver, a 37-year-old Fredericton man died at the scene of the collision as a result of his injuries. A 37-year-old Fredericton woman was injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene of the collision. It is believed that alcohol was a contributing factor. The investigation is ongoing.
