Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man with Dementia that has been missing since this morning.
Gary Ostertag has not been seen since he left his home in the 4600 block of Oak Street at 11:30 a.m. He was reported missing to police around 4:00 this afternoon.
Mr. Ostertag is white, 69 years old, 5’4″ tall and has a slim build. He has white hair, a white scruffy beard and wears dark framed prescription glasses. He was last seen wearing a dark fleece jacket, light-coloured pants and he may be wearing a lanyard with an identification tag around his neck.
Police are concerned for his safety due to the cold, wet weather.
Area searches by police around his home, as well as checks of public transit, other Metro Vancouver police agencies, taxi companies, and local hospitals, have failed to turn up any sign of him.
