Mother Charged of Killing Her 2-years and 9-months-old Daughter

The mother of a 2-years-old daughter has been charged with second-degree murder charges today, implying that she aided the murder of her daughter, who whose body was discovered from a townhouse in Mississauga on Tuesday.

Insp. Randy Cowan informed in a news conference this morning, that the Regional Police of Peel found the dead body with help of a tip received from a phone call complaining about a panic-stricken and disturbed female standing barefoot in the snow on a balcony at the home on Colonial Dr. at 3:45 p.m. Insp. Randy stated that “we had to use a conducted energy weapon in order to subdue her due to her heightened state of hysteria.” He added that “we entered the unit and discovered the deceased… the daughter of the female… with obvious signs of trauma.”

Police has recognized the victim to be 2 years and 8 months old Evadne Williams-Scott, whereas the 24-years-old mother is named Teresa Williams. Ms. Williams is held in police custody, as she was charged with second-degree murder charges, and awaits a scheduled appearance in Brampton court later today. Police clarified that the suspect and the victim were the only two people present in the house at the time of incident. Insp. Randy disclosed that “there are no outstanding victims and no outstanding parties. We are now canvassing the area for information with regards to this family and how this tragedy could have occurred.” This homicide is Peel’s first homicide of 2013.
