Halifax man injured in an early morning robbery

Police Investigating Early Morning Robbery

Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating a robbery which occurred this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 3:10 a.m. an officer observed an injured man sitting on the sidewalk in the area of George and Granville Streets. The male was suffering from facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries which are not life-threatening.

Investigators were unable to speak with him until this afternoon at which time he reported being approached by two men and asked for money prior to being assaulted. One of the suspects is described as a white man, 20 to 25-years-old and clean shaven with short spiky black hair. There is no description available for the other suspect.
