The most presumed front-runner of the Ontario Liberal Party leadership race, Sandra Pupatello, made a short visit on Tuesday night for a fundraiser hosted by the Ontario Minister of Infrastructure, Bob Chiarelli. The fundraiser of Chiarelli, MPP for Ottawa West-Nepean and transportation minister, was organized  with $1,000 per ticket at his residence. Chiarelli has been a key supporter of Pupatello’s campaign.

In addition to providing Pupatello with almost eight valuable delegates for the upcoming leadership convention, he is also supporting her staffing assistance. The official website of Pupatello’s campaign enlists the event to be held being held at a “private residence” and it was, in fact, held at Chiarelli’s residence. During the fundraiser, honorable guests ate hors d’oeurves and conversed with the woman who is anticipated to become the province’s first female premier. The venue had an organized parking tacitly as gusts drove into the cul-de-sac, guided in by Chiarelli campaign lawn signs stuck in the snow.

The representatives of Pupatello’s campaign have not given any official statement confirming the number of guests present at the event, though unconfirmed general estimation predicts the number of guests to be almost around two dozen. Few of the most noticeable guests included Nicastro brothers, Joe and Rocco. Nicastro brothers are renowned successful entrepreneurs, who own Nicastro’s Italian Food Emporium, and have been strong supporters of Chiarelli. The brothers seemed very impressed by Pupatello at the event, calling her “sharp.” Although they made it clear, that Chiarelli’s recommendation was key in their support. “We know Bob very well. Many years,” said Joe.
