On Saturday, January 19, 2013, at approximately 7 a.m., police were called to the Weston Road/Eglinton Avenue West area for an unknown trouble.

The investigation led to a second location on Richgrove Drive where police discovered the body of a woman,27, with obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced at the scene.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., with the assistance of Peel Regional Police, Toronto Police arrested a man in the Hurontario Street/Eglinton Avenue area of Mississauga.

Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, 30, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) First Degree murder

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 2 p.m.

The identity of the woman will not be released until next of kin have been notified.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 1 p.m.
