Montreal police has been interrogating a 12-year-old boy in the case of a deceased 16-year-old boy, who was found fatally shot directly in the head. There has been no clear report of the incident so far, though unconfirmed information claims that both the boys, suspect and victim, were brothers and lived on Hamilton Place in Dorval, Que.
The investigators were looking into the incident all night, and now they will have to file an official report for making recommendation to police proceedings. A reporter from the incident, stated that “It is not being called a homicide at this time and for now this investigation has been transferred to the major crimes unit because a death was involved, but it’s not being classified as a homicide. It looks at this point like it was an accident but police are saying all options are open and they’re waiting for investigators who did that interrogation yesterday to make a recommendation.”
Unconfirmed sources have reported that the two boys were home alone at the time of incident, i.e. almost around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The 12-year-old boy made the 911 emergency call, right after the shooting took place. Later the boy called his mother, who quickly rushed back home and took the boy at a nearby hospital for shock treatment. The reporter, Johnson, alleged that “there is a lot of information circulating that has yet to be officially confirmed by police. But certainly one of the questions is what was a loaded gun doing in this home and how did it get into the hands of these brothers. So that is certainly something we’re waiting for more information on later today, hopefully.”
