Loralyn Thom charged with murder of Rodney Petryk in Edmonton

Edmonton’s Medical Examiner’s Office has conducted an autopsy on the body of a 44-year-old man who was found dead in a residence located at 122 Avenue and 93 Street late Sunday night and has classified the death as a homicide.

The autopsy determined the man, 44-year-old Rodney Petryk, died as a result of a stab wound.

The victim’s common-law wife, 43-year-old Loralyn Thom, has been charged with 2nd degree murder.

This is the city’s 10th homicide of 2010.
