One man faces charges in connection with a series of break and enters in Dartmouth.

The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section and the East Quick Response Unit (EQRU) have been investigating a number of break and enters which have taken place in Dartmouth over the last few months. On June 7 members of the EQRU were following a suspect and observed him approach a number of residences. While the man did not enter the homes, he engaged in activity that was deemed suspicious. It was determined that his actions were consistent with attempting to break into the homes. Officers located the man on Friday, June 18, and arrested him without incident at 1:45 p.m. The investigation has resulted in additional charges for seven break and enters which occurred between February 1 and June 16.

Thirty-six-year-old Robert Gordon Reid of Dartmouth was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face seven charges of break and enter and seven charges of attempt break and enter.
