The Hamilton Police Service (HPS) Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a single vehicle collision and is asking witnesses to contact them.
On April 3rd, 2013 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Third Road East and Ridge Road in Stoney Creek to investigate a single vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that a pick-up truck traveling westbound collided with a large tree stump on the south side of Ridge road just east of Third Road. There were no other vehicles involved in the collision. The 68-year-old Stoney Creek man was pronounced at the scene.
The identity of the driver is not being released at the request of the family.
The cause of the investigation remains under investigation.
