One man is dead as the result of a single vehicle crash that occurred over the weekend in Benoit, near Tracadie-Sheila, N.B.

On April 7, 2013, at approximately 5:35 a.m., Tracadie-Sheila RCMP responded to call that a car was in the ditch beside chemin Benoit in Benoit, N.B. 36-year-old Johnny Thibodeau from Tilley Road, N.B. died as the result of injuries sustained when his vehicle left the road, struck a culvert, rolled over, and landed on its roof. A motorist travelling along the road saw the vehicle in the ditch.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. The investigation is continuing, to determine what may have caused the crash and when it may have occurred.
