Hamilton man Marvin Lee Laforme charged for two sexual assault incidents

The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit have arrested a 45 year old Hamilton man after investigating 2 reported sexual assaults. 

On Thursday, March 28, 2013, at approx. 8:40 p.m., a woman involved in sex work went with a male to the parking lot in the area of Lincoln St and Linden St. The victim had a disagreement with the male about the price for services and the male refused to pay her. The male then proceeded to sexually assault the victim.  She was able to flee from the male who briefly chased her before giving up. She called police on her cell phone as she ran from the male. 

On Sunday, April 7, 2013, at approx. 5:30 a.m., the victim was walking home from a friend’s house. Upon reaching area of King St. and Barnesdale Ave., she became engaged in a conversation with a male who was leaning against a red van.  The victim agreed to a price for services. They walked into a nearby alleyway, where the male became more aggressive and began assaulting the victim and then sexually assaulted her.  She was able to break free from his grasps.  She continued to scream at which time the male ran southbound down the alleyway towards Main Street.  Police were called.

Utilizing various investigative tools, the Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit identified and arrested a male on Monday, April 8, 2013 for two (2) counts of Sexual Assault and one (1) count of Assault Level I.  He is being held for a Bail Hearing.

Arrested:         Marvin Lee Laforme, 45 years of age of Hamilton
Charges:          Sexual Assault x 2 
                           Assault Level I

The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit continue to investigate and believes there may be additional victims.
