Mississauga man Adeyemi Ogunbitan charged with first degree murder

The Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau have arrested and charged Adeyemi Ogunbitan with First Degree Murder in the death of a 32 year-old Brampton resident last year. 

On Monday, November 1, 2012, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police received several 911 calls regarding gunshots being fired near 7170 Darcel Avenue in Malton.  Police responded and located the victim, who was suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim, Dwayne Alexander Thompson, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Adeyemi Ogunbitan, aged 24 years of Mississauga, was arrested Tuesday and charged with First Degree Murder. He will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
