Elderly Wallaceburg man Alan Knowles dies in a fatal motor vehicle collision on Stewart Line

On Monday, April 22, 2013 at approximately 9:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Stewart Line, just north of Wallaceburg.

A blue Dodge Ram 2500 truck was found submerged in the water.  Alan Knowles, 66 years of Wallaceburg was transported to Sydenham District Hospital with absent vital signs.   Medical personnel attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful and he was later pronounced dead.
 
Preliminary results from the post-mortem examination revealed that the collision was likely caused by a medical event.
