The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered in the area of Ellerslie Road and Meridian Street.
Police received a call from a member of the public shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Upon arrival at the scene, Southeast Division officers found the body of a male believed to be in his 20s.
“Our investigation is still in the very early stages,” says EPS homicide Staff Sgt. David Christoffel. “Anyone who may have any information is encouraged to come forward and speak to police.”
The EPS Homicide Section has taken over the investigation. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.
