Milton man Sheldon Ashton Scrubb charged with second degree murder

On Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 7:58 p.m., police responded to several calls for the sound of gunshots in the vicinity of the Grace Hartman Housing Co-op at Morningside Avenue and Old Finch Avenue.

The police located a 20−year−old man without vital signs

The victim has been identified as Kwado “Kojo” Mensah, 20, of Toronto.

A post−mortem examination concluded that the cause of death was a gunshot to the chest

On Wednesday, May 1, 2013, Sheldon Ashton Scrubb, 18, of Milton, was arrested and charged with:

1) Second-Degree Murder
2) Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
3) Aggravated Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Thursday, May 2, 2013, room 412, 10 a.m.
