In April 2013, the Chatham-Kent Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit became involved in an investigation surrounding the Accessing and Possession of Child Pornography.
On the 7th of May 2013, a Search Warrant was executed in the City of Chatham. As a result of that Warrant, 73-year old Robert James Peckham was arrested and charged with Accessing Child Pornography, and Possessing Child Pornography.
Three computers and numerous external storage devices were seized for analysis.
He was later released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking with a number of conditions, pending a future court date.
