Houston police investigating about the skeletal remains found at 791 Pickering Street

Houston police are awating autopsy results of skeletal remains found at 791 Pickering Street about 7:40 p.m. on Monday (June 3). 

The gender, identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Torres and T. Richardson reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to the above address where skeletal remains were found.  What appeared to be a human skull was found alongside a public roadway.  An HPD Canine Unit responded to the scene and found more skeletal remains in a nearby heavily wooded lot.  Several articles of clothing were also found, as well as a wallet. 

The investigation is continuing.
