The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is investigating another fatal collision – the second in as many days.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on 14 Street near Berkley Gate N.W. The 19-year-old driver lost control, struck a curb and collided with a tree. She died at the scene.
Investigators are still looking into whether alcohol was a factor in this crash, however, speed appears to be a major contributor.
